Copper
Copper base
EUR 130/100 kg for most flexible cables (e.g. ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 100) and piece goods (e.g. ÖLFLEX® SPIRAL 540 P)
Exact details can be found on each page of the catalogue beneath the article table.
The copper index
The copper index is the calculated copper weight of a cable, wire (kg/km) or piece good (kg/1000 pc) and is specified for each catalogue item.
Aluminium
The aluminum base is 100 €/100 kg. For calculation of aluminium surcharges, we use the same method as for the copper calculation. We also use the average price of the previous month as the basis for this. To the extent applicable, the prices shown in the Online Shop are full metal prices.
Alloy surcharge for thermoelectric and compensating cables
The cable cross-section, number of pairs of insulated wires and the alloy elements used are the basis for the calculation per 1000 m.
The surcharges for the alloys Fe/CuNi, NiCr/Ni and PtRh/Pt are as follows:
Cross-section | 0,22 | 0,50 | 0,75 | 1,00 | 1,50 |
Fe/CuNi | 10,17 | 20,35 | 25,44 | 35,61 | 56,68 |
NiCr/Ni | 10,17 | 20,35 | 25,44 | 35,61 | 56,68 |
PtRh/Pt | 5,08 | 10,17 | 15,26 | 25,44 | 35,61 |
Calculation examples
Order quantity | Alloy | Number of insulated wires | Insulated wire pairs | Cross-section in mm2 | Alloy surcharge per insulated wire pair per 1000 m | Total alloy surcharge |
500m | Fe/CuNi | 2,00 | 1,00 | 0,22 | 10,17 | 5,09 |
2000m | NiCr/Ni | 6,00 | 3,00 | 1,50 | 56,68 | 340,08 |
Insulated wire pair = number of insulated wires / 2
Alloy surcharge = Insulated wire pair * (Alloy surcharge per 1000 m / 1000) * Order quantity in metres
