Frequently asked questions in the application process

Questions about the content of the online application

Via our job portal. If possible, please send your applications exclusively via our online application portal. Please carefully incorporate your information into the application form to ensure we obtain as comprehensive a view of your qualifications and interests as possible. You can give the online application a personal touch by sending an individual cover letter. Please note that important documents such as CVs, certificates, etc. must be included in the application as an attachment. The following formats can be added with a maximum size of 15MB: DOC, PDF, JPG, TNP, GIF.
To ensure quick and uncomplicated processing, please apply separately for each position. It is important to write a complete application for each position.

When you enter the data and submit the application, a profile is automatically created with us. The data is stored in our application database.

No, but you can ask questions about the application process or the advertised role. All other questions will be clarified during the interview. A call has no influence on the application or decision process.

Students – internships and student employee roles

The internship offers you the opportunity to become part of the company right from the outset, take on responsibility and grow with us. In this process, you can explore multiple divisions or settle in one field.
Your individual ideas can be addressed through your initiative and requests. To do this, please get in touch with the relevant contact directly. These can be found here.
In the fields of marketing, human resources, controlling, purchasing, logistics, event and fleet management, finance and quality management.
Enrolment at a university, practical experience in the relevant field, good teamwork and communication skills, independent working style and a high level dedication, good MS Office knowledge and good English proficiency.
You should have around 2 available days per week which can then be utilised at LAPP to gather practical experience and apply your theoretical knowledge.
A bachelor's or master's thesis is generally possible following a consultation with the relevant department or manager.
There are various offers, e.g. the participation in internal training courses, the regular meet-up for students, participation in the annual international football and volleyball tournament of the LAPP Group, company health management, LAPP Casino (canteen), flexible working hours and mobile work (following a consultation with your manager) and employee benefits
We are happy to accept speculative applications. Please specify your desired field and availability period. If a department has capacity for a student role, we will get in touch. However, we can’t promise anything.

There is usually a one-to-one meeting with the HR department and the specialist department; there is no need to go through an assessment centre.
Yes! As an internationally active company, LAPP offers a wealth of exciting and current topics to explore in detail for your final academic project.
Exciting topics on current projects of the company are offered. Support is offered through a supervisor. You will also have the right to 15 days' leave for a period of employment of 6 months.

LAPP offers a wide range of further education and training measures.
At LAPP, we apply a model of flexible working hours. Mobile work is possible following a consultation with your manager.
The standard annual leave entitlement is 30 days.
These include voluntary social benefits, company health management, a public transport pass, various sports and leisure activities and employee benefits.
New employees are given an individual induction plan. It is put together by the corresponding specialist department. In addition, new employees are provided with a "godparent". There is also an induction event for new employees, a multi-day occasion with lots of exciting content, talks and guided tours.

Pupils - career guidance and vocational training

Training and the dual study programme (= preceding practical phase) at LAPP start on 1 September.

We start the applicant selection process a year in advance. For open training/dual study places, applications received later are also welcome.

We offer our trainees in their 2nd year of training/our dual students (DHBW/KFRU) in the 4th semester the opportunity to get to know a company in the of the LAPP Group abroad. Within a 4 to 12-week stay, our trainees/dual students are given the opportunity to gain an insight into the international business activities of the LAPP Group with a targeted project or department deployment. 

Participation in an EU-funded internship abroad (Go.For.EuropeSpread Your Wings) is possible for our trainees (IHK).

Our dual students (DHBW) also have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at a partner university of the DHBW (prerequisite: approval from the head of the degree programme and the company).

We endeavour to offer all our trainees/dual students a qualified qualified workplace at LAPP. Our takeover rate is ~90%.

Acceptance depends, among other things, on the performance of the trainee/dual student and the economic situation of the company.
