Absolute compatibility
The cables are a perfect mechanical and electrical match for the drive system - without adaptation, without risk.
Our double-sided assembled power cables supply your devices and machines with high voltages and currents in no time at all. The power cables are suitable for permanently installed and constantly moving use in cable chains.
Our assembled servo cables are true-to-original and therefore 1:1 compatible assembly solutions for the common drive systems from the major manufacturers SIEMENS, Rockwell Automation, Lenze and SEW-EURODRIVE.
Each manufacturer of servo drives has developed its own technical standards, which must be taken into account when selecting cables and connectors. The selection of suitable connection components for servo drives can therefore quickly become a challenge. But with the assembled servo cables from LAPP, this effort is a thing of the past.
We take care of the compatibility check for you: we carefully harmonise our products with the manufacturer's specifications right from the development phase. This includes connectors, cable lengths, cross-sections, shielding, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and mechanical and thermal load capacity.
The result: fully ready-to-connect cables that precisely match the interfaces and requirements of the leading drive manufacturers.
The cables are a perfect mechanical and electrical match for the drive system - without adaptation, without risk.
Compliance with parameters such as EMC, impedance, interfaces etc. guarantees interference-free communication.
With the servo assemblies from LAPP, both cable ends are always prepared for the servo connection (using connectors, end sleeves, cable lugs or similar). The assemblies are suitable for drive systems from SIEMENS, Rockwell Automation, Lenze or SEW-EURODRIVE.
Individual customer requests regarding printing, labelling and packaging can be sent to us separately at any time.
The LAPP servo assemblies essentially differ in terms of the sheath material and the connector used. The available cable assemblies are configurable in length (from 0.5 m to 100 m).
Decide which material should protect your cable – taking into account the location of subsequent use and the expected mechanical and chemical loads there.
Depending on the intended use, there are major differences in the cable design and the materials used. Our cable assemblies are designed for different types of installation:
The connectors for servo applications must be as small as possible, vibration-proof, robust, EMC-protected and also resistant to moisture, oils and dust. Circular connectors have become established for connecting a servo motor or its feedback system, particularly the M12, M17, M23, LS1, LS1.5, LS3 and V4.0 families.
Provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference: The cable shield is crimped with two metallic sleeves, enabling 360° contact to be achieved. This ensures even more effective deflection of interference signals.
Servo drives are considered indispensable in modern automation technology. They work with absolute precision as they can be controlled, adjusted and positioned.
What are the components of a servo drive?
They are operated in a permanent control loop.
Servo motors are special electric motors (which can be direct current, asynchronous or synchronous motors) in which the exact angular position of the rotor, its rotation speed and acceleration can be determined using an integrated feedback system. The respective actual values are transmitted to an electronic control system, the servo controller. As a rule, frequency converters with motor position control take on this task. If the actual state of the servo motor differs from the target state, the frequency converter can adjust the output frequency or voltage and thus the torque and speed for the servo motor.
Servo drives can be found in all areas of automation, for example in mechanical engineering, energy technology, the automotive industry, conveyor technology, robotics and the food & beverage sector.
For one thing, they impress with their compact design and low weight. Above all, however, servo drives reduce process times and massively increase the efficiency of a plant.
Servo cables connect the servo motor and its feedback system to the upstream frequency converter within a servo application.
Servo applications are all applications that are controlled by an electrical, frequency-regulated servo drive.
Assembled servo cables are ready-to-connect servo cables where both ends have already been prepared for connection - i.e. connectors, end sleeves and cable lugs are already attached. For you as the end user, there is no need to strip the cable, crimp contacts or install the connector. The advantage lies clearly in the combination of time savings, safety, quality and process simplification. The servo assemblies from LAPP can be used immediately.
No matter what conditions you have: We will customise your servo cable so that it meets your specifications and the current industry standards. Simply specify the drive standard, the type information and the required line length. You will then receive all the information on the original assembly or the LAPP alternative according to the selected standard.
