Solar cables for your photovoltaic systems

Complete solutions and project handling for your LAPP PV system

Sustaining tomorrow with solar power.

The future belongs to solar energy. Every year, the sun provides us with around 10,000 times the global energy requirements of mankind. The tremendous potential of the largest energy source cannot be fully exploited, but we can all benefit from it – with photovoltaic systems that make efficient use of the energy. Since the increasing system voltage of modern photovoltaic systems requires equally more powerful cables and components, LAPP has established itself as a leading provider of innovative and high-quality solutions in the field of solar cables and connectors.

On the safe side: norms and standards for the solar industry

Standards provide guidelines for manufacturers, installers and inspectors to ensure that photovoltaic systems provide electricity safely, efficiently and reliably by complying with the quality and safety regulations. Solar solutions from LAPP meet these standards. An overview of the key standards.

VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies)

Standards provide guidelines for manufacturers, installers and inspectors to ensure that photovoltaic systems provide electricity safely, efficiently and reliably by complying with the quality and safety regulations. Solar solutions from LAPP meet these standards. An overview of the key standards.

IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission)

This global non-profit committee is active in more than 170 countries and develops international standards for electrical engineering, electronics and related technologies. The IEC standards for solar technology include guidelines for photovoltaic modules, inverters, power measurement, installation, safety and more.

BS (British Standard)

The national standardisation body in Great Britain was the first of its kind in the world. Its standards include guidelines for various aspects of solar technology, which are similar to the IEC standards but can also contain specific requirements for the British market.
