Assembled solar cables are cables for photovoltaic systems that are already equipped with connectors. They are durable, UV-resistant and resistant to temperature fluctuations and chemical stresses. The cable assemblies comply with current norms and standards, such as DIN EN 62852.
- Flame-retardant
- Halogenfree
- UV-resistant
Solar energy is a central component of the energy transition towards the use of renewable energies. Benefit from our robust solar cables and reliable connectors in the new solar assemblies.
Solar installers and electricians use these patch cables to connect the solar modules of a PV system and to enable series or parallel connection. This allows the direct current generated by the solar modules (up to 1,500 volts) to be efficiently collected and transmitted. For use in households and power grids, the direct current (DC) must then be converted into alternating current (AC) using an inverter. Here too, patch cables reliably connect the solar modules to the inverters.
Superior quality and reliability in power transmission
LAPP offers a particularly efficient and time-saving solution in this area from a single source: The EPIC® SOLAR 4 GEN2 patch cable consists of the TÜV SÜD-tested EPIC® SOLAR 4 GEN2 connector and the ÖLFLEX® SOLAR BUR solar cable. The assembly guarantees the highest quality standards, is weatherproof and UV-resistant.
Automated crimping with crimping force and torque monitoring promises maximum reliability. It ensures a vibration-proof connection by maximising contact reliability between contact and cable.
Your benefits
Automated assembly offers a major advantage. They replace the manual work previously required on site. This includes cutting cables to length, crimping and assembling connectors. This process is now covered entirely in-house by LAPP.
