Yes, LAPP offers patch cables and cordsets in various connector types. However, the connections at each end of a cable assembly must be compatible with your hardware (switch ports, device interfaces, etc.). We recommend specifying all connector types during the planning phase to ensure the compatibility of your entire network. Our sales team can help you design a cabling strategy that combines different connector types where necessary, without compromising reliability.
LAPP ETHERLINE® ACCESS switches are designed for industrial environments.Thanks to their various specifications, they are suitable for factory halls, outdoor installations and other demanding environments. Detailed specifications can be found in our product data sheets.
LAPP remote I/O solutions support the most important industrial Ethernet protocols. Compatibility depends on the specific I/O module and your control system. We recommend discussing your protocol requirements with our team during the specification phase so that we can recommend the right solution.

Yes. LAPP manufactures customised patch cords and cordsets to your exact specifications. Whether you require a specific length, connector combination or shielding configuration, we can develop a solution for you.
Both are used in industrial Ethernet applications, but have different strengths:
M12:
  • circular connector 
  • Excellent IP67 sealing for wet/dirty environments
  • More robust in high-vibration applications
  • Frequently used for distributed devices and machine interfaces.
RJ45:
  •  Rectangular modular connection
  • Cost-effective for standard installations
  • Industry standard for IT/network infrastructures
  • Easier on-site termination, if required
