Due to the changing requirements in the areas of networking, the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and the associated digitalisation of all business sectors, the career profile has been modernised.
In the 'application development' discipline, the focus is on project planning and the development of software solutions relating to information security. Development processes are carried out using agile, networked and multidisciplinary methods. In addition, appropriate programming paradigms, languages and environments are selected according to the respective project.
The apprenticeships at LAPP mainly take place at Lapp Service GmbH in Stuttgart. The training relationship (= vocational training contract) is also entered into with this LAPP company.
Lapp Service GmbH is the global IT service provider of the LAPP Group – it focuses on a wide range of IT services, such as the provision of a reliable IT infrastructure including a service desk or the consultation and implementation of SAP projects. It is also a service provider for events and building management.
The duration of training is normally 3 years and can be reduced to 2.5 years during training for very good to good performance (vocational school/company).
Your tasks
- Design and development of user interfaces for software-based workflows and business processes, including checking the product for data protection compliance and user-friendliness
- Ensuring the quality of software applications
- Identifying and rectifying causes of errors and faults
- Design and implementation of customer-specific software applications (= requirements analysis, project planning according to targets/requirements/framework conditions, development of solution variants with due regard to data protection and data security, implementation of the desired solution including quality assurance)
- Communication with those involved in the process that is appropriate to the situation, including in a foreign language
