Valid Conditions for Orders from U.I. Lapp GmbH, Lapp Systems GmbH and Contact GmbH

a. Prices

The prices in force on the day of order entry plus the VAT rate applicable on the day of invoicing shall apply. The copper surcharges for cables, wires and piece-guided goods are calculated at LAPP using the average copper price for the previous month on the day the order is entered.

The prices for copper cable include a copper base of 150.00 € /100 kg copper, with the exception of telecommunications cables with copper 100.00€ /100 kg copper, underground cable hollow price, unless otherwise stated in the price quotation. If other metals (e.g. aluminium or lead) are used, the invoicing method shall be analogous to that used for copper. For brass items, percentage surcharges are calculated on the sales prices. The brass base is 150.00 € /100 kg brass.

If the prices below refer to the net value of the goods, this is calculated from the value of the goods incl. or excl. metal depending on the indication, without services such as cutting costs, freight & shipping costs, special services and storage service.

b. Freight charges & shipping costs

b.3 Orders via EDI

We deliver free domicile from a net value of the goods of 500.00 € excl. metals. Below a net goods value of 500.00 € excluding metals, we charge for the freight costs as shown under point b.1/b.2. 

b.4 Special services and warehouse service

The costs for a shipment with a special service comprise the costs for a standard delivery (see Chapter b.1-b.3) and the costs for the special service (basic freight + costs for the special service). 

The cost of a special service shall be borne by all customers, regardless of the value of the goods ordered (also applies to free domicile shipments). Costs for special shipments and services are always fully borne by the customer.

There is no freight reimbursement for collection.

If the goods are not accepted by the confirmed delivery date, we offer you the following storage service:

• Storage up to 3 months: free of charge
• Storage 4–6 months: 0.5% of the invoice amount for each commenced month
• Storage 7–12 months 0.7% of the invoice amount for each commenced month
• From month 13: the goods will be automatically shipped to you

Valid for all options from confirmed delivery date or goods becoming available. If you do not wish to make use of this service, we shall consider this to be an immediate delivery request, or if delivery is nevertheless delayed for a reason for which you are responsible, we will automatically pass on the costs incurred to you in accordance with the values listed above. 

c. Packaging

Delivery usually takes place on free-of-charge cable drums. At the customer's request, we also offer plastic cable drums for a fee or use KTG rental cable drums for a fee.
 

d. Cutting costs

Cutting costs: for desired cut lengths, we calculate cutting costs of 20.00 € per cut.

e. Minimum value surcharge

For standard orders (via email/telephone) with a net value of the goods including metal of less than 150.00 €, we charge a minimum value surcharge of 20.00 €. A reduced minimum value surcharge is applicable for EDI orders and for orders in the Online shop of U.I. Lapp GmbH. Here, a surcharge of only 10.00 € applies for a net value of the goods including metal surcharge of less than 50.00 €.

f. Delivery quantities

Cables:

Short and excess lengths of +/- 10% are permissible. A delivery may be made in partial lengths. A cut length surcharge per special length will be charged for desired special lengths outside of our catalogue standards. The length-related measurement tolerance is ± 0.5%. Special products supplied by the metre are produced in production lengths. If no division lengths are specified when ordering, we reserve the right to specify the division lengths or layout according to our defined standard lengths.

Piece goods:

We deliver articles items in packaging units. In the case of custom-made products, we reserve the right to make over- or under-delivery of up to 10% for piece items and over- or under-delivery of up to 15% for items by the metre.

Packaging units:

Goods by the metre up to 30 kg or up to 250 m are delivered as a ring. Orders greater than 30 kg and/or lengths of more than 250 m will be delivered on a cable drum. We deliver accessories exclusively in packaging units according to the catalogue. A length tolerance of +/-5% may exist for accessories by the metre in the catalogue. An overdelivery of 15% or an underdelivery of 10% is permissible in the case of accessories that are not listed in the catalogue.

g. Return of goods

We point out that we generally do not take back goods delivered free of defects.

Should we exceptionally agree to take back the goods as a gesture of goodwill, you must request the return in writing to us in advance. Taking into account our parameters and the internal commercial inspection, we will then submit a repurchase offer to you if necessary.

This repurchase offer shall have a validity of 2 weeks, which must be confirmed in writing. If we do not receive a confirmation within this period, the offer shall expire.

h. Complaints

If you have a complaint, we ask you to use one of our forms on the website to register it with us. 

i. Returning drums

Our partner in packaging and disposal matters within the framework of the German Packaging Act [Verpackungsgesetz] is the disposal and recycling service provider INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH. We offer a pick-up service for the return of reusable solid wood cable drums. Deliveries of lattice box and Euro flat pallets will be made in exchange, otherwise a charge will be made according to the display.

The return of our cable drums with a diameter of up to 120 cm is handled by INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH. Requests for return of cable drums as of a quantity of 4 pieces and a diameter of min. 120 cm can be sent to the following e-mail address:

If collection is not possible due to incorrect information or insufficient access, we will charge you for the costs of the unnecessary trip.

Collection of small drums: drum diameter 40 cm–119 cm/30 pieces or at least 300 kg

Collection of empty pallets: from a quantity of 50 pieces.
